Caldecott Award
Caldecott Medal & Honor Books, 1938 - Present
The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association. It is named in honor of Randolph Caldecott, a nineteenth-century English illustrator. Medal winners come from various genres of picture books.
