ENG 090 Reference List (Works Cited) Assignment Using C.S. Lewis Sources
DUE ON MOODLE
- You must find one book, one academic journal article, and one website about C.S. Lewis.
- Select Sources: Begin at the library homepage: campbellsville.edu/library
- Finding a book or an e-book:
- On the Montgomery Library homepage, scroll down to find the CU Search box.
- Click “E-Books” or “Print Books.” (Repeat these steps for each type of book.)
- Enter “C.S. Lewis” in quotation marks into CU Search box and click “Search.”
- Click a source about him. Make sure someone else is the author.
- Click “Cite.”
- Select “APA 7th ed.” under “Select a citation style.”
- Click “Copy Citation” and paste it into a Word document.
- Edit the citation format to match the examples on Purdue OWL (see links below).
- Finding an article in a peer-reviewed journal:
- On the Montgomery Library homepage, scroll down to find the CU Search box.
- Click “Articles”
- Enter “C.S. Lewis” in quotation marks into CU Search box and click “Search”
- Think of a topic. Enter the following: “C.S. Lewis” AND ___(your topic)_____
- Click “Search”
- On the left-hand side of the page, click “Show Only” and then click “Peer Reviewed”
- Click a source about C.S. Lewis.
- Click “Cite.”
- Select “APA 7th ed.” under “Select a citation style.”
- Click “Copy Citation” and paste it into a Word document.
- Edit the citation format to match the examples on Purdue OWL (see links below).

- For a Website
- Use a search engine such as Google to find a website about C.S. Lewis. Make sure the website was created by a reliable authority, such as a library or university.

*Note: Your works cited page should look like the example on Moodle (with different citations, of course). All citations must be in alphabetical order, with hanging indentation, and in APA format: Times New Roman, 12-point font, double spaced, 1-inch margins, and last name and page number in the top right corner.
