Copyright, Fair Use, and Creative Commons

Montgomery Library's Guide to Copyright and Fair Use

Choosing a Creative Commons License

When deciding to select a license for your CC work, there are two factors: considerations for the licensor (if you are licensing your own work), and considerations for the licensee (if you are using someone else's work).

To help others see what license you chose, make sure to insert the correct CC icon at the bottom or somewhere near your work, with a clear, brief statement next to the icon.

To determine which license you wish to use for either consideration, visit the License Chooser from the Creative Commons.
