Fact-Finding Tactics: Evaluating Sources, Media Bias, and Propaganda

A big news story comes out. Someone calls it fake news. Next week we learn the original report was mostly right, but still partly wrong. Repeat!

I think we all are feeling exhausted of this weekly cycle, so how can we stay grounded in reality? Something we all need to work on is information literacy, which may be defined as the ability to find and evaluate sources, to uncover truthful information, and to share only credible information with others. At the Montgomery Library, we are actively researching the skills you need to find accurate information to achieve your goals and to protect yourself and your loved ones from misinformation.
